The atelier

Edwin Misisyan is one of the Grand Bazaar’s long-time jewellery designers. His atelier is at the bazaar’s Nuruosmaniye Gate, in the Atay building on Nuruosmaniye Caddesi.

The atelier works to order, whether it’s an engagement ring you have in mind or an old piece you’d like remade. Alongside diamonds, he works with coloured stones such as sapphire, ruby, emerald and aquamarine. Lines of calibré-cut sapphires, fine claws and pierced metalwork give the pieces the ordered, restrained feel of art deco.

Today the atelier also makes pieces for other jewellers and brands.
